No doubt that there’s countless horror stories that I could give regarding this topic. The scam of forgiveness and letting go — a malicious, twisted, devious, and maniacal trick that abusers use to harass and gaslight their victims into putting up with more bullshit. I’ve seen it time after time again; these sadistic shitheads will tell you — the victim — that you just need to “forgive and let go”, as if it’s an entitlement that you now owe the abuser. Meanwhile, the same people who preach this “forgiveness and letting go” stuff will then turn around and scream at you whenever you make an honest mistake. When you make an honest mistake, and now it’s time for them to give you some of that precious “forgiveness and letting go”, they don’t spare any for you, even after you’ve given them ample amounts of slack for their crimes. In many cases, these people will scream and reprimand you over nothing — there’s not even a real problem to begin with, yet they will still manage to concoct some problem out of thin air. It’s truly atrocious and disgusting. The words “hypocrisy” and “malevolence” don’t even come close to describing these antics.
